Please note: the playground is NOT supervised in the morning. Please DO NOT drop your child off before 7:25 a.m. and leave them unsupervised on school grounds in the morning. 

Arrival:

School starts for PRE-K at 7:40 a.m. Please note: PRE-K student drop-off is at the         PRE-K doors between 7:25-7:40 a.m. 

School starts for K-5 students at 7:40 a.m. Please note: K-5 student drop-off begins at 7:25 a.m. and is in the designated area next to the playground area, at the south end of the building.
 

Dismissal:

Dismissal is a very busy time of day. For the safety and security of our students, and in order to make dismissal an orderly process, we ask that parents/guardians follow these important procedures:

PRE-K: School ends for PRE-K at 2:00 p.m. PRE-K pick-up is at the PRE-K doors between 2:00-2:10 p.m on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Pick up on Wednesday is at 1:00 p.m.

K-5: Student pick-up on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays is at 2:10 p.m. On Wednesdays, K-5 student pick-up is at 1:10 p.m. Students are to be picked up in the playground area, at the south end of the building. Please wait by your vehicle until you see your student(s), then come to greet them at the sidewalk and escort them back to your vehicle.

Any student not picked up by 2:10 p.m. (1:10 p.m. on Wednesdays) will be escorted to wait out in front of the school and a call will be placed to the parent/guardian for pick-up.

If there is a change in your child’s regular dismissal plan (for example, if your child normally rides the bus home, but will be picked up instead), please either send a note to school with your child, or call the school office early in the day to let us know. All calls to the office requesting a change in the regular dismissal plan must be made before 1:00 p.m. (12:00 p.m. on Wednesdays) Please be advised that if we do not receive a note from home or a phone call before the above deadline, your child’s normal dismissal routine will be followed.

If there are plans for your child to go to a different location after school, such as to a friend or relative’s house, you will need to send a note to school with your child or call the office directly prior to 1:00 p.m. (12:00 p.m. on Wednesdays). Again, if we do not receive a note from you or a phone call before the above deadline, the normal dismissal routine will be followed.

Early Dismissal

For the safety and security of our students, all early dismissals must be made by the parent/guardian. If you are sending someone else (a friend, relative, or sibling) to pick up your child, you must call the office ahead of time to let our staff know exactly who will be coming in to pick up your child. If the office staff is not familiar with the person picking up your child, that person will be asked to provide ID. If they cannot provide ID, the office staff will not release your child until we can confirm ID with the parent/guardian. Please note: If we have not received prior notice from the parent/guardian granting permission for someone else to pick up their child, we will not release the student, until or unless we are able to communicate directly with the parent/guardian.

Parents/guardians may call ahead to let our office staff know what time the student will be picked up, and staff will do their best to have your child waiting when you arrive. Otherwise, when you do arrive, please check in with the front office, and office staff will notify the appropriate teacher to dismiss your child. Parents/guardians are not allowed to go to the classroom to get their child. These procedures are in place for the safety of our students and to limit classroom disruptions.

If you need to dismiss your child during the school day and he/she is on the playground, please do not remove your child from the playground. You must report to the office first, and office staff will then communicate with the playground staff, who will send your child into the office for dismissal.

Please note that early dismissals end at 1:45 p.m. (12:45 p.m. on Wednesdays).
Any early dismissals after that time will have to wait until students are dismissed at their usual time. If you need to dismiss your student early, please come to the school BEFORE 1:45 p.m. (12:45 p.m. on Wednesdays.)
