Crisis Plans and Safety-Related Policies

The safety of our students and staff are our top priority. Many preventive and crisis response measures are in place to provide for the safety of our school community.  School Board policy requires each school to have an emergency management plan in place that is specific and thorough. The plans follow guidelines established through a joint effort of the Portland School Department, the Portland Police Department, and the Portland Fire Department. Each school is also required to conduct practice drills to make sure that staff are familiar with the crisis plan.
