The suspension of a student is a very serious penalty imposed when a student is involved in an incident in which school policy, or civil or federal law is violated. Though rarely used, a student may be suspended when it is necessary to protect any student’s physical or emotional well-being or if the good order of the school is compromised. The parent will be notified immediately, and is expected to come to school immediately to pick up the student. A notice of suspension will be entered into our Infinite Campus system. A conference with the teacher, parents/guardians, student and other staff as needed, will be held to create a plan for successful re-entry.
